TOTO's Double Cyclone Flushing System

This handsome one-piece toilet, with clean, elegant lines, is skirted for easy maintenance. Its tank lid is inflected with the angularity of oaken skirting boards from residential water closets from the 1890’s.

   This beautiful exterior houses TOTO top-of-the-line Double Cyclone Flush Engine. That is, to achieve the highest level of performance and bowl cleansing action needed to satisfy its discriminating customers, TOTO engineers completely redesigned both the toilet’s hydrodynamics and its bowl. When this beautiful high-efficiency toilet is flushed, its Double Cyclone flushing system initiates, and three actions occur nearly simultaneously. First, the primary nozzle – located at the back of the bowl -- fires a high-speed stream of water that scours the rim and starts the water’s Cyclone action. Almost immediately, a second water nozzle, behind the first, fires another high-speed stream that provides 360-degrees of cleansing action. At the same time, the siphon jet harnesses the accelerating power of this rapidly rotating cyclone of water for unsurpassed waste removal at the responsible 1.28 gpf volume. To complete their new bowl design, TOTO engineers coated the rim and bowl with SanaGloss, the company’s nano-technology glaze that seals the porcelain with an ionized barrier creating a super-slippery, non-porous surface that repels the waste and bacteria. In short, when protected by SanaGloss, the water that rinses the bowl and rim as the toilet flushes is all that is needed to remove stains, residue, scaling, and lime buildup. Invisible organisms, including bacteria and molds, also are eliminated. You won’t need harsh detergents, which are expensive and harmful to the environment.
